Now Introducing The New Generation Shelby 1000! It's Amazing...

With SEMA coming to an end, New cars have made there way into the main stream. Here is just a look at what wonderful things Shelby has to offer in the next upcoming years. Let's take a look.

It has arrived. The Shelby 1000 made it's way to the SEMA show in Las Vegas in style. While the Las Vegas production facility is striving forward with new products each year, this product features a 1,000-horsepower package available for any v8 Ford Mustang built from the 2015 Model year on. The new platform has a new and improved Suspension package, new bodywork and brakes, is road course focused and is equipped with an all new Supercharger System.

The Shelby 1000 engine upgrade includes an all new 5.2-liter engine mated with a 4.5-liter Whipple Supercharger. In order to handle the added air delivery a new set of modified GT350 cylinder heads have also been included in this package. The rest of the modification list is necessary to keep this beast running perfect. A new high-flow fuel system, larger intercooler, upgraded manual transmission, and full stand alone electronic control unit and tuning capabilities. The body lift is just as beautiful. With an all new front fascia, hood, front fenders, rockers, quarter-panels, rear diffuser, exhaust and widened front and rear track, this thing looks scary. Underneath is a fully adjustable coilover suspension kit, stronger spindles and hubs and a whole lot more that can't be listed.

The previous-generation Shelby 1000, based on 2012 through 2014 model-year GT500s, was based on the 5.8-liter engine that made 1,200 horsepower, so the new version is actually less powerful.

Unlike the previous-generation Shelby 1000, which was offered in both street and off-road configurations, Shelby said it opted to make the new generation purely an emissions non-compliant track car. Prices begin around $170,000, not including the actual Ford Mustang GT. Only 50 per model year will be built, starting in the first quarter of 2018.

Can't wait to see one in person on the road. If I ever will LOL...

Here is a quick Shout Out to SVEN GUSTAFSON from Autoblog for covering such a great SEMA Attraction. Here is a copy of his original blog post. Thanks for reading. https://www.autoblog.com/2017/11/02/new-generation-shelby-1000-track-car-1000-horsepower-sema/#slide-7142011
